WorkingMouse’s First Values Event of the Year: Balance with Direction
At WorkingMouse, our company values aren’t just words on a wall, they shape how we work and connect as a team. Every year, we hold
value events to celebrate our principles. We started 2025 off with our first value: Balance with Direction!

King Island Bridge
Balance with Direction is about recognising when things are out of alignment and having the courage to adjust course. We decided to step away from our screens and go on a group walk across King Island Bridge. The walk was a chance to reset, reflect, and just talk to each other outside the office setting.

Dinner at Hogan’s
After our walk, we continued the celebration with a team dinner at Hogan’s. Over good food and conversation, we reflected on the importance of balance not just in our work, but also in our personal lives. It was a reminder that success isn’t just about pushing forward, sometimes, it’s about pausing, reassessing, and finding the right direction.

Supporting a Greater Cause
This event held even greater significance as we all dressed in pink or red to support women for International Women’s Day. Originally,
we had planned to participate in an International
Women’s Day walk,
but due to Cyclone Alfred, the event was unfortunately cancelled. That didn’t stop us from showing our support in our own way, turning our
values event into an opportunity to make a positive impact.
What’s Up Next?
With our first values event setting a strong tone for the year, we’re excited for the next three:
Play with Purpose – Experimenting and embracing creativity.
Mastery with Practice – Learning, teaching, and sharing knowledge.
Connection with Empathy – Strengthening our culture through meaningful relationships.
Balance with Direction reminded us that sometimes the best way forward is to pause, reflect, and change course when necessary. We’re looking forward to carrying this energy through the rest of the year!
